About Journal
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Science is an open access journal with comprehensive peer review policy that keeps physiatrists across the globe up-to-date on latest advancements in effective management processes in treating patients with complex disabilities. Researchers are welcome to submit their manuscripts in the form of original research, review articles, case reports, commentaries, mini-reviews etc. on emerging concepts, medical procedures, and points of view.
At PMRS, we cover a broad spectrum of topics within physical medicine and rehabilitation science. Our journal welcomes submissions in the following areas but not limited to:
- Rehabilitation Medicine: Explore the latest developments in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, sports medicine, exercise therapy, assistive technologies, and adaptive devices. We aim to showcase innovative approaches that enhance functional recovery and improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
- Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation: Delve into the realm of orthopedic rehabilitation, musculoskeletal pain management, joint and spine disorders, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal imaging techniques. Discover cutting-edge research that addresses the challenges of restoring mobility, reducing pain, and optimizing musculoskeletal health.
- Neurological Rehabilitation: Uncover advancements in stroke rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, multiple sclerosis rehabilitation, Parkinson's disease rehabilitation, and neuromuscular disorders rehabilitation. Our focus is on evidence-based interventions that promote neurological recovery, enhance motor function, and optimize cognitive and perceptual abilities.
- Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation: Stay informed about cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, cardiovascular and respiratory disorders, and multidisciplinary approaches to enhance cardiovascular and respiratory health. Explore interventions that improve exercise tolerance, enhance cardiovascular function, and promote respiratory well-being.
- Pain Medicine: Gain insights into chronic pain management, interventional pain procedures, non-pharmacological pain management approaches, and palliative care. Our aim is to highlight effective strategies for alleviating pain, improving quality of life, and promoting holistic well-being.
- Rehabilitation Technology and Engineering: Dive into the world of rehabilitation robotics, exoskeletons, virtual reality, and augmented reality in rehabilitation.
